Unshatter is the title of an upcoming movie by Linkin Park, set for release in 2026. The movie will be directed by Joe Hahn.
Background
Linkin Park's comeback in fall 2024 began with the self-titled "Launch Show" in September before doing a quick trip around the globe for five arena shows. In November 2024, the band added on to that initial run with shows in Paris, Arlington, Bogotá, and São Paulo. Due to the first night in São Paulo selling out so quickly, the band announced a second night.
Both shows at Allianz Parque were filmed, with the first night receiving a live stream by Linkin Park of the first 6 songs of the set.[1] The entire show was aired by Multishow in Brazil and includes a pre-show interview with the band. Notably, the audio mix of the show by Multishow was not very good and the Linkin Park 6 song broadcast featured significantly better mixed audio. Drone shots were used throughout the broadcast.
At the end of the live show broadcast on Linkin Park's YouTube (after "The Emptiness Machine"), the band announced that a live film was coming to theaters worldwide in 2025.[2] Following the film announcement, the From Zero World Tour trailer was played.

On November 27, 2024, Linkin Park released a live video of the "Two Faced" live debut at the show on YouTube. The video was directed by Mark Ritchie and the audio was mixed by Ethan Mates.[3]
Unfortunately, 2024 and 2025 came and went with no announcement of the live release as Linkin Park made their way across the world, performing in Mexico, Asia, Europe, and North and South America. In November 2025 around the band's return to Brazil, it was reported by fansite LinkinParkBR that the movie was actually still in production. They said at the time, "We received information that the long-awaited live film from the From Zero tour, recorded in São Paulo and announced by #LinkinPark last year, had its release delayed. Although the initial expectation was for this year (2025), all indications that the official launch was for 2026. Since we don't have an official word on the band or label yet, we cannot confirm an exact release date. However, our sources indicate that the movie is still confirmed, just won't arrive "this year.""[4]
Additionally in 2025, comments surfaced online that fans in Brazil were interviewed at the show for testimonials about the band. Comments included fans on Reddit saying that representatives from the band had asked YouTube personalities that had "reacted" to the band's comeback performance on September 4, 2024 to submit footage to them.
"Unshatter", the song the movie is titled after, was one of the first songs Linkin Park wrote and recorded with Emily when she joined the band. Demos on Mike's iPhone which he shared screenshots of date to around December 2023.
In the trailer for the movie, shots from Linkin Park's show in São Paulo 2024 can be seen as well as footage from the band's Launch Show (comeback show) in September 2024, with footage from Mike's home studio The Stockroom, and more. In one shot, a date of May 13, 2025 can be seen for Joe filming a scene for the movie.
Teasers in June 2026 began for the movie the week before it was announced. In the second city of the tour in Hamburg at the night 1 show on June 1st, the pre-show From Zero countdown for the show featured a clip beginning with 4 seconds left in the countdown of an old film-style countdown before it flashed the Linkin Park logo. This was a subtle change in the countdown, which always counted down normally to 0:00.
Next, Linkin Park held a pop-up pizza and karaoke event between the two headlining shows on June 1st and June 3rd. Promotion for the Unshatter Movie continued here, with graffiti featuring lyrics from the song sprayed all around the area.
On June 4th, 2026, the song "Unshatter" on Spotify on mobile phones began displaying a countdown of 8 seconds with an old film-style trailer, similar to what was displayed in Hamburg on the pre-show From Zero countdown.
Everything culminated in Linkin Park announcing the film at their iconic, long-awaited return at Rock am Ring 2026 on June 5, 2026. As the band began their show intro, the trailer for the movie was played over the big screens; the show was webcasted online. After this, the band launched into their set with the comeback of the song "With You" for the first time in 12 years. As the teaser was played, Linkin Park announced the movie on their social media.[5]
At the show, several things took place before and after the show - the band's merch earlier in the day featured "UnshatterMovie.com" on the tag of the shirts and Joe's Instagram story for the live stream countdown featured an Unshatter Movie sticker in the very bottom left that was placed on a railing at Rock am Ring. After the show, the confetti shot from the stage said "UnshatterMovie.com" on it as well. Additionally, brand new "Unshatter" shirts were handed out at the barricade by the Linkin Park team after the band's set finished.
Beginning at the Rock im Park, Germany show on June 7th, Linkin Park started playing the movie trailer before the pre-show From Zero countdown timer.
